TO CREATE AND LAUNCH A NEW SHEA BUTTER PERSONAL CARE LINE
The brand needed to convey a different kind of Shea butter product – organic, natural, and sustainable, yet sleek and sophisticated. It had to appeal to a multi-cultural consumer audience and multi-channel retailer buyers.

{ STRATEGY }
Part of our strategy included an overview of other Shea products on the market and our recommendations for Napp Organics new brand.  In order to achieve significant market penetration, the brand needed to appeal to a broad consumer audience, yet still resonate with core natural consumers.

{ IMPLEMENTATION }
We developed the brand name NouriShea™, positioning, logo and packaging bearing in mind that the goal was to have consumers purchase products for multiple uses – everyday. “The Very Best Shea Everyday™” tagline and the clean, easily identifiable color-coded packaging clearly, positions the brand and makes it easy to see on a shelf.

We developed the NouriShea™ website primarily for e-commerce while retail distribution was being rolled-out. The website content was written for optimal SEO, created in a platform that makes it easy to add new products and information a regular basis.

As the brand’s founder had a following for her original “hand-crafted” Shea products, we wanted to maintain her personal connection with customers and encouraged her to have her own blog on the website. Social media was the next step in consumer communications—customer trial, feedback and testimonials are invaluable in creating engagement and awareness for NouriShea™.  Social media allows NouriShea™ to speak directly with consumers and to build trust and authenticity.

{ RESULTS }

•          The brand is receiving very positive feedback for not only the look and feel, but the efficacy of the product.

•          The website traffic and online sales are growing

•          Social media engagement is creating a core of brand advocates

•          The retail roll-out in underway in the NE region
